We come to your home, select style, sterilize, mark with a surgical safe instrument, confirm and simultaneously complete the placement of new sparkling 14K gold earrings for your child. For babies this is a dream. They are less distressed when the whole procedure is complete in less than 5 minutes. Older kids  prefer this method.  We only pierce ears. Our earrings are enclosed in a sealed container and are sterile.  We utilize the Inverness System which is manufactured in the United States and is widely known in the jewelry industry.

Fees

The price of our at home service  is $39 plus the  price of the earrings.  This is below local doctor's prices.*  In addition you do not have to sit in the waiting room and wait.  You save time and are not on "display" in a crammed place in the mall.  For this special event invite us into your home.

Most piercing earring styles are below $39  so expect to pay from $68- $80 for our services .

When to Pierce?

We recommend piercing babies ears after second series of shots.

Service includes after piercing cleansing lotion. We can pierce boys if they are above age 13.

On the day of the visit please make sure that the baby has had a good rest and is feeling well. Please call us to cancel and reschedule if you have a sick baby.

Guidelines

We follow the guidelines of the Canadian Government which states it is unsafe to pierce ears with jewelry that contains  nickel. For 6 weeks the earlobe is healing and open. Wounds can absorb nickel from 14KT white gold into the bloodstream. We offer 14 KT yellow gold, or 24 KT gold plated choices, focusing on your child's comfort, safety and health during the visit.

We strongly suggest white gold be worn only after the piercing has completely healed. Canada recently led the United States to reduce the legal limits on lead in children's jewelry. This promoted the movement to reduce lead and cadmium limits in kid's jewelry in the United States in the last 5 years and resulted in sweeping changes  in regulation on a national level.

Nickel Allergy

Many people are not aware of the signs of a nickel allergy. An allergy can easily be remedied by changing to 14 KT yellow gold jewelry and by avoiding contact with white gold. A reaction  is indicated by redness, baby pulling on the ear and or swelling of the ear lobe. To avoid contact with unknown metals we recommend removing the earring and applying clear nail polish to the post, back surface and earring back of any suspect jewelry.  In this way the baby skin is not exposed to the metal. Next time we advise our customers to purchase 14 KT gold yellow earrings and posts.

Post- Visit

Be sure to gently clean wound with cotton and antiseptic twice daily.

Twist each earring daily to avoid skin growing over one part of the hole.

Wear earrings for 6 weeks without removing.

To remove face your child towards you hold the front of the earring gently by the sides and twist the earring screw back away from you to open and towards you to close.

We recommend using safety backs so your baby does not feel the post into their skin after the first pair.

If your child has thick earlobes we offer longer post choices.

We promise that our technique will reduce your child's momentarily reaction to the procedure.  The Inverness Ear Piercing System is insured to produce the best results throughout the United States and throughout the world.

Cameras and Videos

We allow cameras for pictures after the ears have been pierced. Videos are not permitted.
